Recording and Analysis Toolkit (RAT)

The Recording and Analysis Toolkit (RAT) system provides the sonar operator with a dedicated system for spectrally viewing, analysing and recording eight analogue sensors. The easy to use GUI provides full control of the system allowing the operator to select channels for viewing, control bandwidth and gains for each channel independently as well as offering up to 6hrs of data history for each channel. The recording of data is autonomous and seamless, and is provided on a standard computer peripheral tape device (Sony AIT-3).

The RAT system provides the MoD with a fully tested and environmentally compliant replacement for the now obsolete and antiquated 1/4" tape RES recorders currently used RN platforms.
