Kaon is delighted to announce that they have been awarded the contract from Dstl to provide the update to the submarine bow processing system HADES. The HADES system, originally developed by Kaon, provides a multitude of functionality for the 2074 bow sonar, from broadband and narrowband processing to transient detection and classification. The current system has been deployed on HM submarines a number of times, receiving glowing reports from operators for ease of use and data presentation quality.



The update includes providing extra processing capabilities such as DEMON and improvements on the GUI, as well as providing interfacing for the next generation of sonars. Five of the systems are being procured for use amongst HM submarines.

HADES is another example of Kaon delivering COTS based solutions adopting open architecture principles to meet the demanding requirements of MoD.
