Adaptive Signal De-Noising
Used within a number of Kaon systems [RAT, KRAKEN] this de-noising technique has been shown to be useful in the aural classification and identification of signals.
The combination of a number of signal processing methods has provided a means of both spectrally and temporally removing noise from the signal in an intelligent, data driven manner.
The technique has been used on a various signals from a number of different acoustic environments. Sonar signals such as active sonar pings, marine mammal calls as well as passive signature signals have all been sucessfully isolated and filtered using this technique.
